Burnout doesn’t mean you chose the wrong business or lost your ambition.
It means your system learned to associate work with danger or overload.
Recovery doesn’t happen by forcing yourself back into action, nor by avoiding work completely.
To make this practical, I created a very simple daily tool - available in a free version here on Substack.
This is not a planner or productivity system. Its purpose is to help you re-enter action without reinforcing burnout.
You don’t need consistency or discipline for this to work.
Here’s how I recommend using it:
Open it once a day (or skip days — both are fine)
Check in honestly with how you feel in your body
Choose one prompt or action that feels doable without tension
Stop when your body says stop
Close it and move on with your day
Reading without acting still counts. Safety comes before execution.
